Jillian Sterling Wilson wrote and illustrated her first book "Gary Gorilla Loses His Banana" when she was 11 years old. From there, she went on to write broadcast news for both the Tribune and CBS Radio in Los Angeles. Fast forward 20 years, and Jillian has returned to her first love -- writing stories. Jillian's books are designed to ignite young imaginations and take readers on wondrous journeys. A portion of the proceeds from every copy of "Clarkie Saves the Moon" and "Kaia and her Magical Kite" goes to support the San Diego Humane Society, Foster Love and Monarch School, benefiting unhoused and underprivileged children.

Jillian lives in La Jolla with her husband John, their three children, Sterling, Kaia, and Clarkie, and their beloved rescue pug, One Eyed Willy.
